Marketing and Sales Coordinator
Position Summary
This position will assist in the production and execution of marketing and advertising campaigns; tracking sales data; maintaining inventory of promotional materials;
planning and / or leading special events and trade shows; maintaining marketing calendar and databases; preparing reports as well as important administrative duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assists with marketing execution and strategic planning across all RCN product lines, (creative development, advertising, data base segmentation, etc).
Must understand the basics of traditional and digital marketing, (including strong working knowledge of social media)
2. Takes ownership and responsibility for supporting customer, revenue and product penetration goals for the market
3. Develops the key front line relationships with marketing vendors, agencies and programmers
4. Coordinates acquisition and up-sell direct mail process. Ensures target dates are met.
5. Coordinates the development and production of marketing creative and materials via outside agencies to ensure materials are developed and delivered on schedule.
6. Manages the marketing and event calendars
7. Assists with budget / expense tracking and vendor payment
8. Assumes responsibility for internal marketing communications, shares marketing promotions and competitive reconnaissance with all stake-holders as needed
9. Assumes responsibility for development of sales collateral materials for sales teams and other support functions
10. Assumes responsibility for coordinating marketing events. May also assist with sales events.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or Business is preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Agency-side experience a plus, either full service or media planning.
- Experience in telecommunications is a plus.
- Ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of previous marketing experience. Exposure to managing Direct Response and / or Media planning is preferred.
- Thorough understanding and appreciation for measured results vs. expenditure (ROI) is critical.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish strong interdepartmental and external working relationships with key contributors resulting in successful sales and marketing campaigns.
- Strong computer skills and excellent working knowledge of common software packages. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Must be creative, a critical thinker, team oriented, energetic, organized and the ability to handle multiple tasks is essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours during events.
- Some travel required.
