Job Description
This position is contingent upon contract award and / or funding, which is anticipated in April 2023. The selected candidate will serve as the Global Sustainment (GS) Logistics Project Manager (LPM) for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) supporting the Avionics and Aircraft Modernization (AAM) submarket segment in APS.
The LPM will work closely with the AAM Program Director, finance, planning, subcontracts, and engineering personnel, along with the Global Sustainment (GS) Centers of Excellence, as part of a cross-functional program team, to ensure all tasking is properly scoped, staffed, and executed, ensuring program commitments are met, and product deliveries are developed and delivered per contract cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
Assignments can include support of F-35 Avionics Component Repair program repairs and supporting the US Army’s V-280 Valor Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) program (pending protest outcome).
Key tasks and responsibilities include :
- Responsibility for the cost, schedule, and performance of all GS tasking
- Primary liaison with logistics customers and LM program management
- Overseeing the development and delivery of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and other ILS deliveries and services
- Providing direction and tasking to GS Center of Excellence (COE) functional leads and subcontractors
- Ensuring compliance with GS processes and procedures for product development and services
- Planning, monitoring, and adjusting personnel requirements via GRID
- Providing progress reports to GS functional management and program management
- Preparing and presenting GS status for internal and external customer briefings and formal reviews
- Review of Statements of Work (SOW) and leading the development of GS estimates
Desired skills
- Must be able to obtain & maintain a Secret level clearance
- Experience or background in Vertical Lift Platforms
- Certified Control Account Manager or equivalent experience in Earned Value Management
- Experience with US Army aviation programs (rotary wing preferred)
- Experience with equipment repairs and depot operations
- Experience with supply chain management
- Experience with US Army technical manuals, maintenance, and training
- Experience with, IPDE, EPDM, SharePoint, PM Compass, and GRID
- Capture experience and GenBOE
- Experience in or knowledge of one or more of the following :
- ILS product development (e.g. training, technical publications, provisioning, etc.)
- ILS requirements analysis and definition
- ILS product interdependencies
- ILS related tools and technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong coordination skills
- Willingness and ability for infrequent travel to support program efforts
- Previous experience leading or participating as a key member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) or another cross-functional team
- Previous experience in managing a project (cost, schedule, and performance)
