Description Position Summary Under general direction of the Chief Mechanic; Performs specialized metal fabrication and welding required to maintain, modify and repair the Districts rolling stock, facilities and passenger amenities and miscellaneous equipment. Occasionally performs other duties as assigned. You’ll provide advanced technical support for complex and specialized assignments. Who We Are Our shop is a R&D operation, making mostly one-off and small quantity runs. We fabricate using mostly stainless steel, aluminum, and copper, plus other materials that can be very challenging to form and / or weld.
