Compensation : $28-30.00HR + Shift Differential of $1.25HR

What To Expect
As a CAT Welder, you will be a member of a dynamic team of solid professional welders. Interpret metric drawings that use Geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) to setup fixtures, tack and weld components in horizontal and flat positions using welding gun, cutting torches, carbon arc and other fabrication tools (i.
e grinder, chisel, tip cleaner) This position requires the ability to complete and pass an American Weld Society (AWS) certification prior to hire as part of the pr-employment / pre-hire process.
Our Welders will read fabrication blueprint / engineering drawings to determine next course of work. Whether you are growing your career, or starting your career- we want you!
Basic Qualifications
Welding experience or in the process of completing a welding trade / technical degree
Ability to read fabrication blueprints / engineering drawings
Ability to complete and pass American Weld Society (AWS) certification as part of the pre-hire process onsite at CAT- BP
Resume attachment or completed application work history required
Top Candidates Will Also Have
Heavy crane equipment experience
Experience with basic fabrication hand tools and equipment (i.e. grinder, chisel, tip cleaner)
Experience with cutting torches and / or carbon arc (gouging)
Understanding of geometric dimension and tolerances (GD&T)
Ability to read standard work, prints, and write continuous improvement cards
Ability to utilize computers for production transactions
Understanding of the metric measurement systems
Environment :
Limited exposure to welding fumes and noise levels of 85db or greater
Work in environment with frequently changing temperatures
Work in tight spaces
Required Personal Protective Equipment : hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toed / metatarsal foot gear, head protection and welder protection
