Job Description Continued How You Will Help : This role is responsible for various Warehouse duties (outlined below, but not limited to) as follows : Weighing packages and labeling them appropriately according to customer specifications within UPS and / or LTL program. Completing packing and order forms with the relevant shipping information within UPS and / or LTL program. Inspecting packages to ensure they are not damaged. Keeping records of packages including delivery notes, invoices, etc. Sealing shipping containers and labeling them appropriately. Operating a stand-up forklift truck to pick and package all customer orders consistent with company standards. (Training available for forklift) Loading outgoing material and unloading incoming material. Receiving and putting away all incoming material. Move material to new locations as needed. Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures and utilizing appropriate equipment. Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations in responsibility area. Performing other duties / tasks as needed / assigned. Must follow all safety practices and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. What You Will Have : High school diploma or GED is required. Prior experience in a distribution environment using UPS and / or LTL programs is preferred. Valid forklift license is not required but is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a high transaction volume, fast paced environment. Possess positive team attitude and willingness to help approach. General knowledge of computers, navigation, data entry, etc. Must be willing to work overtime as needed to meet department needs. Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 65 pounds without injury or harm. Ability to push and pull up to 65 pounds in weight. Excessive walking and prolonged standing.
