Warehouse Associate
GENERAL SCOPE : Receiving of incoming DVT pumps, cleaning of incoming pumps and ERP transactions of product to start the repair process.
Responsible for final inspection of all pumps and paperwork and shipping of pumps and spare parts to customers. Team member will also perform inventory control duties as assigned as well as other assigned tasks within the department.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS :
- Receives incoming DVT pumps from customers.
- Receives incoming shipments of spare parts.
- Cleans incoming DVT pumps from customers, and sorts according to RMA paperwork.
- Receives units and spare part shipments into ERP system to start process.
- Maintain proper documentation for work completed including accurately documented physical and electronic service records as required by facility procedures.
- Inspects repaired units and paperwork at end of line after burn-in period.
- Packages DVT pumps for return to customers.
- Packages spare parts orders for shipment to customers.
- Replenishes Kanban’s as required.
- Performs inventory cycle counts or movement as required.
- Help with facility upkeep or maintenance.
- Notifies management of any receiving / shipping issues or other applicable information.
- Ensure all documentation is complete and filed out appropriately.
- Adheres to Company safety regulations.
- Participates in any and or all, reasonable work activities as deemed suitable and assigned by management.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
High School Degree / GED equivalent
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Minimum 3 yrs. experience in a similar warehouse / shipping / receiving or inventory control position.
SKILLS :
- Must be able to decipher data from computer-generated reports, software programs, technical manuals and written correspondence.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to operate a forklift.
- Computer literacy;
- Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications specifically Microsoft Excel
- Must be able to respond to inquiries and communicate with others in writing.
- Must meet quality requirements and standards.
- Must show the ability to read and understand service manuals, blueprints, technical specifications and work instructions as required.
- Must be able to work in a nontraditional, participative work environment.
- Must be able to demonstrate good troubleshooting skills in primary area of responsibility.
- Must be detail oriented.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Must be available to work assigned shifts, including weekends and overtime when required
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (including biological / chemical protection) when potential hazards exist.
- Major tasks require the use of hands, legs, and feet.
- Sitting, standing and / or walking for up to 8 plus hours per day.
- Frequent bending / stooping, squatting and balance.
- Must occasionally utilize hand tools to connect and operate test instrumentation to monitor equipment function.
- The employee must have use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak and hear.
- Must be able to lift / carry 45lbs individually and team lift heavier items.
- Must be able to push up to 625 lbs. on wheels.
