Warehouse Technician
JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Technician performs a variety of routine warehouse duties to include the ordering / receiving of goods, inventory management, filling and delivering orders, tracking of inventory using available software, maintaining a clean and functional work area, and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES
- Ordering requested goods via online systems / programs
- Communicating with outside vendors to procure needed items
- Keeping accurate inventory numbers using various computer programs (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Maintaining a clean, functional warehouse
- Foreseeing supply chain issues and communicating them to upper management
- Responding to daily email and / or phone requests for various supply needs
- Maintain a professional appearance and workspace
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance
- Ability to adapt to different situations and work as a team to accomplish needed tasks
- Occasionally deliver goods to different offsite locations
- Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision
- Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local material handling requirements
- Ability to maintain OSHA safety processes
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and experience High School diploma or its equivalent with 1-2 years’ experience in the field or related area preferred.
A combination of education, training experience, skills and abilities will be considered. Familiarization with fire department equipment and operations is preferred.
Must be able to perform the essential functions.
Language Skills Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively with members of the organization. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
Mathematical Skills Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
- Valid State of Arizona Driver’s License with good driving record and NO driving restrictions.
- Background Check and Drug Screen will be conducted. Marijuana is a disqualifier and is included in the drug screeen panel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Requires occasional exposure to adverse environmental conditions due to work performed in a shop environment and outdoors such as inclement weather, extreme temperatures, dim lighting, dust, noise, and all other environmental adversities that may be encountered in the performance of the essential functions.
Requires manual dexterity, close attention to detail, and may require working under stress due to deadlines and other internal organizational pressures.
