CDL Water Truck Driver
A Water Truck Driver will be responsible for driving gasoline or diesel-powered trucks to transport and deliver liquids (water) on job site.
Responsibilities :
- Drives truck to the destination and returns
- Helps load and unload cargo
- Positions blocks, ropes, straps, cables, and chains to secure cargo during transit
- Climbs on and off the truck body during loading, unloading, and tie-down procedures
- Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations (including I.C.C. Regulations)
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water
- Completes pre-trip and post-trip truck inspection reports
- Service and lubricate the engine and other moving parts if needed
- Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, and batteries, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs
- Maintains accurate records on truck lubrication, service, and repairs
- Follow the truck maintenance schedule
- Follow specific directions
- Perform a variety of duties which may change often
- Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety standards.
- Work within standards of accuracy
- Repeat tasks of short duration according to set procedures and evaluate information using measurable standards
- All other duties as assigned, which may include physical labor outside of driving and delivering water to site where it applies at job site.

- Stand, sit, or walk for long periods
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects
- Stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- See and hear well (either naturally or with correction)
- Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust
- Must meet all Federal DOT Requirements
