Position Information Job Type Student Position Title Assistant Social Media Content Developer Purpose or role of this position at Morehouse The Center for Broadening Participation in computing is seeking an Assistant Social Media Content Developer to create flyers, infographics, words of affirmation illustrations, and other digital content.
As assigned, the selected individual will provide the content to the Center’s Social Media Manager for review, editing and posting. Duties and Responsibilities
- Create flyers, infographics, images, text, videos for review, editing and posting by the Center’s Social Media Manager.
- Complete assigned projects by deadlines
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager on Content Development Calendar
- Assist Social Media Manager with branding schematics and themes for digital content
- Implement graphic design best practices when constructing content
- Stay up to date with social media trends to amplify digital content and notify Social Media Manager of relevant shifts and changes
- Create variations of digital content to optimize the specific affordability of each social media platform
Position Description Work-Study Office Location Off Campus Position Accessibility Remote Position Availability Fall, Spring Select the days that are available for students to work and put the hours that are available for students to work (examples 9am-5pm, 9am-12pm & 4pm-6pm) Saturday - 9am-5pm, 9am-12pm & 4pm-6pm, Monday - 9am-5pm, 9am-12pm & 4pm-6pm, Tuesday - 9am-5pm, 9am-12pm & 4pm-6pm, Wednesday - 9am-5pm, 9am-12pm & 4pm-6pm, Thursday - 9am-5pm, 9am-12pm & 4pm-6pm, Friday - 9am-5pm, 9am-12pm & 4pm-6pm General Qualifications
- Sophomore, Junior or Senior in good standing
- Work 10-12 hours per week
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Specific Qualifications
- Working Knowledge of Social Media platforms : LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, etc
- Working Knowledge of image, video and audio editing platforms
- Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat DC, InDesign and Photoshop preferred
- Knowledge of graphic design best practices
- Knowledge of social media analytics
- Ability to complete creative tasks within a short turnaround time
