Security specialist
Responsibilities
Lead the planning, development, and administration of Security programs.
Develop and administer Security trainings, procedures, and plans assuring compliance with DOE / NNSA orders and other National Policies.
Thorough knowledge of DOE / NNSA and local Security policy and regulations.
Interpret DOE Orders, making recommendations to management and / or implementing Security policies and procedures to ensure compliance by employees and subcontractors.
Lead / Coordinate Security audits, surveys, special studies, and projects.
Design, carry out, and monitors Security interests for management initiatives and projects.
Interact with DOE / NNSA customers and visitors, other Government Agencies, and Security Leadership on Security related matters.
May assume leadership duties when Manager is absent from the office.
Coordinate the reporting of functional performance against initiatives, objectives, and milestones, assuring timely submittal and progress.
Develop and facilitate internal communications which may include processing and distribution of information through Communications Services.
Develop and deliver briefings and trainings to all levels of management and employees on Security elements inclusive of Information, Personnel, Protective Force and Program Management.
Work under consultative direction toward predetermined goals and objectives.
Conduct assignments that are usually self-initiated, determining and pursuing courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.
Provide technical support regarding Security programs under their purview.
Support coordination and development of risk assessments used in the development of site specific threat analyses
and Security countermeasures.
Serve as FM&T representative on DOE-NNSA sponsored panels tasked with the development and implementation of policy and resolution of Security programs.
Lead projects through coordination of activities and teams.
You Must Have :
5+ years of security experience at a professional or management level.
Bachelor's degree in business, law enforcement, education, or two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" level clearance.

Experience with leading initiatives in support of Security projects.
