Network security engineer
A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Network Security Engineer in New York City, New York (NY).Summary : The Network Security Engineer reports to the IT Infrastructure Engineering Supervisor.
You will be working with a small team of network-focused colleagues, ensures the integrity of the company's network infrastructure across five locations in the United States, and supporting 550+ users.

- Ensures the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the infrastructure (network, servers, telecommunications services) and supporting information systems - 24x7x365.
- Successful completion of assigned projects within goals and assigned problems / incidents are successfully resolved
- Adherence to established performance metrics, key performance indicators, and service level agreements
- Network Security Engineer ensures the integrity of the overall network infrastructure strategy, architecture, and delivery processes and promote agility and operational continuity
- Successful implementation of comprehensive disaster recovery architecture is maintained compliant with required RPOs and RTOs
- Successful network infrastructure operations with the goal of maintaining system bandwidth utilization, resiliency, data integrity and data backup and recovery
- End user can utilize the Company's IT resources in the most efficient and effective way
- Network Security Engineer ensures that user's issues are addressed promptly and professionally with minimum interruption to business processes
- CCNP / CCIE certificate or equivalent experience preferred
- 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise network solutions both local and wide area system
- Configuration and advanced troubleshooting VPN
- Firewalls configuration and advanced troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Current networking and security trends
- Project management Time management
- Network documentation and diagramming Network design
- Routing, switching, and wireless technologies Dynamic routing protocols
- Converged networks (voice, data), VoIP and Wireless Network virtualization technologies
- Network cabling technical diagnostic skills
- LAN and WAN Configuration and advanced troubleshooting
- VPN configuration and advanced troubleshooting
- Version Management and Control
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.
We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
This range may be modified in the future.

Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
