Security supervisor
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude toward all external and internal guests at all times.
- Monitor staffing levels to ensure budgetary compliance.
- Assign work to team members.
- Participate in interviewing and selecting new team members, and train and develop team members.
- Issue disciplinary action as needed.
- Investigate incidents and guest complaints and produce summary report of findings.
- Review Security activities with Security Shift Manager.
- Observe, identify, and appropriately address intoxicated guests.
- Check for and report safety hazards.
- Serve as team leader for emergency response drills and evacuations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial information, company policies and procedures, and team member and guest information.
- Produce and deliver reports as required.
- Respond to all calls promptly and professionally.
- Manage escalated situations involving guests, including intoxicated guests.
- Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities.
- Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Ensure the safety and security of all guests and team members.
- Comply with all policies and procedures established by Bally's KC and departmental management.
- Other duties as assigned or any reasonable request from any member of management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, and OTHER CHARACTERISTICS :
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- At least two years of experience as a security guard or law enforcement agent is preferred.
- Must obtain Missouri Gaming Commission occupational license.
- Appropriate use of office equipment, including personal computer, telephone with voice mail system, fax machine, and copy machine.
- Appropriate use of security-related equipment, including flashlight, two-way radio, and handcuffs.
- Ability to write clear and concise reports using correct grammar and punctuation.
- Knowledge of internal controls.
- Knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations.
- Must be able to work any assigned shift, including late nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Read, write, and understand complex instructions.
- Communicate appropriately with all casino guests, casino departments, and fellow team members.
- Understand and adhere to all Missouri Gaming Commission regulations and any other applicable federal, state, and / or local regulations.
- Accurately perform all assigned job duties in a high-volume, fast-paced environment under frequent time pressures.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT : while performing the duties of this job, the team member is exposed to variable temperatures, smoke, and bright flashing lights.
The team member may be required to perform duties outside in all seasons. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
