The primary goal of the El Rio Health
Security Officer is to support El Rio’s Mission of providing comprehensive, quality health care that is affordable and accessible to all who may have healthcare needs, by successfully performing the primary essential functions.
nThe following functions and responsibilities will contribute to El Rio Health to achieve its KEY RESULTS : n n nWorld Class Experience for staff and patients nHealthier patients and employees nPositive Financial Result n n nEssential Job Functions : n nPerforms all security duties, tasks, and assignments supporting Security Department operations within established time frames;
meeting established rates of performance for the quality and quantity of work for the position, demonstrating a level of quality, efficiency, and accuracy in the employee’s job performance that ensures the highest standards of excellence.
nProvides a visible security presence through fixed-post or roving patrol assignments, supporting a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, community members, and employees.
nPerforms security patrols of facilities and parking areas (on foot, or in motorized vehicle) to discourage and identify any criminal activity or safety concerns, reporting any unsafe conditions.
nIdentifies and reports any criminal activity, unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors in restricted or secured areas, security violations, blocked entrances or exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
n n nMinimum Education and Experience : n nHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. nA minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Law Enforcement, Military Police, or relevant Private Security service.
n n nIf applicable, equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, and must be directly related to the functions and responsibilities of the job.
n n nRequired Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations : n nCurrent certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers.
nEmployees in this position are required to have reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday.
If an employee is driving during work hours, the employee is required to possess a valid driver’s license and must comply with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements.
n n nPreferred Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities : n nBilingual (English / Spanish) with the ability to speak, read and write in both languages.
