Technical Writer (Security Operations)
Key Responsibilities : The Technical Writer is responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, policies, and procedures.
This may include writing quick reference guides (QRGs), tutorials, training materials and other technical content. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical writing principles and practices, as well as experience with a variety of documentation tools and technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Write clear, concise, and accurate technical and training documentation
- Create visual content using tools such as SnagIt and M365 suite of tools
- Work with subject matter experts, business analysts, change managers, and other project team members to gather and understand technical information
- Develop understanding of audience / user needs and develop optimal documentation formats
- Translate complex technical information into easy-to-understand language
- Use a variety of documentation tools and technologies to create and maintain documentation
- With minimal supervision, work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and project goalsQualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Deep M365 knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Teams)
- Experience with a variety of documentation tools and technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
