The University of San Diego's Facilities Management Department is looking for seasonal Housekeepers and Painters. Housekeepers : Individuals will perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to, sweeping, wet mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, bathrooms, showers, removing trash, polishing furniture, making beds during the Summer Conference program, operation of basic mechanical cleaning equipment. Typical work hours will be 7 : 00 am 3 : 30 pm, overtime and weekends may be required. Experience is preferred but not required. Pay Rate : $16.30 / hour Painters : Individuals will perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to, assisting in scraping, burning, sanding, and otherwise preparing surface for painting; applying undercoats and finishing coats of stain, paint, enamel, varnishes and lacquers by brush, and spray. Fills nail holes, cracks and joints with putty, plaster, and other filler. Erects scaffolding or sets up ladders to perform tasks above ground level. Typical work hours will be 7 : 30 am 4 : 00 pm, overtime and weekends may be required. Experience is preferred but not required. Pay Rate : $17.00 - $21.00 / hour, based on experience Both positions are temporary assignments. The estimated duration of the assignment is April - September.
