This position will be located in a major market with the territory : New York CityPOSITION PROFILEAchieve annual sales objectives by building customer acceptance of Spinneybeck FilzFelt and its products to ensure future growth, increased market penetration and new market development.
Drive sales through product knowledge, customer service, and problem solvingContact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate and explain product features of Spinneybeck leather, felt and architectural products, and solicit ordersPrepare presentations, proposals and sales contractsDevelop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledgeIdentify and resolve client concernsIdentify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in industry organizations, and attending trade shows and marketing eventsMonitor market conditions, product innovations and competitors’ products, prices and salesManage all sales and order procedures including scheduling, product knowledge, presentation, quoting, order / sample processing, lead-time management, and customer serviceDevelop and maintain relationships with Knoll sellers to develop project strategies on accountsRequired Skills : Self-motivated, self-directed and willing to accept responsibility for resultsStrong interpersonal communication, presentation, and negotiation skillsAbility to communicate effectively with customers, associates, managers, outside contacts, and corporate officeVisibility requires overnight travel to potential and existing clientsRequired ExperienceRequires minimum of three to five years selling experience, preferably in the textiles, A&D, contract furniture or architectural products industry.
