The Donor Relations Associate oversees the development and implementation of regional engagement through constituent programs and special events.
Further, the Engagement Associate ensures effective marketing plans are created to raise awareness about University programs and increase alumni engagement.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Develops a donor engagement / solicitation strategy and coordinates and plans donor functions and activities. Maintains and solicits a portfolio of assigned prospects.
Assists with the development of a strategic plan for community events, meetings, and other regional programs. Develops specific measurable goals and metrics for engagement programs.
Benchmarks and monitors regional programs as they relate to defined goals for regional
engagement.
Monitors alumni website and social media by tracking compliant use of effective marketing and maintaining updated information.
Oversees department budget and ensures expenditures are justified and do not exceed budget constraints. Tracks and oversees emerging alumni leaders to develop reports and monitor program results.
Makes personal visits to constituents to develop relationships that result in strategic volunteer involvement, alumni programming, club participation, and annual giving through personal gift solicitations.
Coordinates, markets, and promotes events using broadcast email, individual web pages, and social media. Keeps track of participants and volunteers and records engagement and donor interactions in the university database.
Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.
Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required.
Certification and Licensing :

Experience :
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes :
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
- Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
- Ability to effectively plan, delegate and / or supervise the work of others.
- Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
