The Public Relations Senior Specialist works closely with the Communications Senior Manager, regional- and industry-focused marketing personnel, subject matter experts, and our creative services group to drive external communication strategies for the firm.
This position is looked to for media relations expertise, project management, writing and editing, and development and execution of our media relations strategies.

Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute firmwide media relations strategy in support of our brand strategy and broader firm goals
- Manage relationship with and workflow of our external PR agency
- Manage media inquiries and interview requests
- Create content for media pitches, press releases, and byline articles
- Monitor, analyze, and communicate PR results on a regular basis
- Provide proactive support to local and industry-focused marketing managers in the development of PR plans
- Consult with partners and other firm spokespeople on best practices when speaking with the media
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Emphasis in Journalism, English, Public Relations, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of communications experience in an agency and / or corporate setting, with experience in a B2B environment highly preferred
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Experience working closely with journalists and managing media requests
- Solid interpersonal and negotiation skills; ability to effectively interface with employees and leaders at all levels within the firm
- Strong project management skills and keen attention to detail
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, to prioritize workload, and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with discretion
- Ability to travel as needed, up to 10%
