About the Role :
FIS is looking for a Product Manager to build out our capability for utilities to include logging, monitoring, alerting, billing, and more.
They will help determine best in class tools, wire them up in our ecosystem, and then perfect them for internal and external use.
This person will need to understand how to build cloud-based scalable systems that meet regulatory and compliance standards.
This person will partner closely with Engineering, Design, and other stakeholders to drive their product to launch. If you are a builder of products and bridges, come help us build the future of financial services.
What You Will Be Doing :
- Owns the product roadmap for the Utility product.

- Understands and clearly communicates the vision for their work and how it ladders into overall company OKRs.
- Ensures that changes in the market and / or business priorities are baked into iterations of the product plan and can update stakeholders as necessary.
- Identifies risks and challenges, opportunities and growth strategies, business integration needs and deprecation plans.
- Manages project inventory during budget planning process, collaborates well with stakeholder on companion activity / interdependencies and prioritizes as necessary to execute against plan throughout the year.
- Engages and interacts with clients during feedback sessions, focus groups, user groups and requirements gathering sessions.
Practices open and honest communications with clients.
- Collaborates with senior management to provide content for market messages, sales collateral and, as needed, RFPs (request for proposal).
- Authors product requirement documents, including problem statements, phases of work, user personas / use cases, etc., and partners with Eng and Design on sibling documents like Technical Design Documents or UX documents.
- Collaborates with vendor support managers for oversight and maintenance of all secondary and support vendor relationships.
- Coordinates and facilitates pilot activities acting as primary contact with client, securing pilot agreement and monitoring progress.
Determines success criteria and recommends go / no go decision.
- Acts as escalation point for client issues that require product change resolution (does not include standard problem escalation process.
- Works closely with development teams to review enhancement requests for strategic value and align resources to high priority projects.
- Ad hoc requests from lines of business and customer base.
What You Bring :
- Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- 6+ years of relevant product management experience within banking industry and / or supporting large financial institutions.
- Knowledge and understanding of the financial industry, money movement, and APIs.
- Requires strong business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision, and executive presence.
