Professionally execute manual and / or autonomous UAV flight missions per specifications.
Responsibilities
- Extensive travel at times
- UAV LiDAR flight Planning and operations
- Night flying
- Autonomous and Manual UAV mission planning and flying
- Ability to operate Base stations and other GPS equipment
- Manual flying while taking video and imagery
- UAV Infrared flight planning and operations
- UAV Multispectral flight planning and operations
- Must be able to complete In field QAQC of UAV data collection
- Troubleshooting of hardware and software at hand
- Professional operation of LiDAR sensors on UAV platform
Qualifications
- Must hold a Pilot Certificate under Title 14 CFR
- Part 107 or hold a part 61 Pilot Certificate other than student pilot, complete a flight review within the previous 24 months, and complete a small UAS online training course provided by FAA
- Be in physical and mental condition to safely operate small UAS
- A minimum of 500 hours unmanned flight time
- A minimum of 100 hours unmanned autonomous flight software in air time
- Work within guidelines of a Night Waiver
- A minimum of 100 hours of manual night flying
- Ability to operate Base stations and other GPS equipment
- Ability to operate UAV infrared equipment with autonomous flight software
- Ability to QC Infrared data in the field
- Ability to operate UAV Multispectral equipment with autonomous flight software
- Ability to QC Multispectral data in the field
- Ability to QC LiDAR data in the field
Education / Qualifications :
High School Diploma. (some college preferred)
Certifications / Licenses :
- Valid CA driver's license
- Part 107
The pay range for this California position is $30.00- $40.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate.
Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
