Responsibilities
The Providence Medical Center Rehabilitation Department is looking for a dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our team.
This is a per diem position with outpatient help needed two to three days per week the hours and days are flexible. There are no required weekend hours but there are potential hours available in the inpatient setting on weekdays and weekends, in addition to the outpatient hours.
This OTs duties include, but are not limited to :
- experience working as an Occupational Therapist in an outpatient setting with patients with orthopedic and neurologic diagnoses, preferred
- provides medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within scope of practice, in order to restore function and prevent disability for clients or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary disorders
- performs responsibilities in accordance with department and hospital policies, state, federal and regulatory requirements : Title 22 Section 70517, 70519
- functions according to professional practice as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
- current state Occupational Therapy certification / license, required
- current BLS (AHA) certificate
- National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC, preferred
- one year of experience working as an Occupational Therapist in an outpatient setting with patients with orthopedic and neurologic diagnoses, preferred
