Come join a fantastic team! The Regional Sales Manager Medcial is responsible for all aspects of managing a designated region with revenue of approximately $30M.
The incumbent works primarily in the field supporting Independent Manufacturing Representatives (IMRs) as well as partnering with other manufacturers and companies that sell Leica products.
Responsible for the leadership and driving growth in the Ophthalmology segmentYOUR RESPONSIBILITIESManage designated region distribution for the medical market segments, managing the overall region sales pipeline.
i.e. by stage, Value Selling, win / loss analysis, etc.)Provide strategy, plan, and leadership to grow the business in line with the strategic planDevelop annual strategic plan for the region of responsibility for entire Medical portfolioMeasure and manage the IMR performanceEffectively partner with all internal Leica departmentsManage price discountManage expensesCultivate long-term partnerships with current and potential IMRsSource and recruit IMR partners for vacant areasSupport market research and analysis (VOC) in close co-operation with internal Leica departments globallyConduct product presentations and trainingSupport marketing planning for the marketYOUR PROFILEEducation : Bachelor’s Degree or equivalentMinimum 7-10 years in technical capital equipment sales Prefer experience with surgical microscopy, neurosurgery, or Ophthalmology is highly desiredMinimum 3-5 years managing either employees or distributors / partnersDemonstrated leadership capabilities including ability to drive high employee engagement within team and within other teams in the organization.
Ability to build strong, high performing teams.Demonstrated ability to manage and develop indirect sales channels, direct sales channels, other internal managers.
Ability to analyze situations, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to drive structured process improvements including funnel managementProven success in executive sellingAbility to work well in a matrixed environment requiring high degree of influencing skillsA capacity for strategic thinking / planning as well as tactical implementationAbility to comprehend scientific applications issues.
Good time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to adapt to new software-driven instruments, conduct demonstrations and train sales representatives and customersDesired qualifications express expectations for ideal / fully proficient candidates;
equivalent experience will also be considered.
