Mechanical Engineer - Traction

As a Traction Engineer, you will be responsible for the detailed Mechanical Design of electro-mechanical assemblies of Propulsion equipment for railway systems.
Some of your key responsibilities will include :
- Delivering the design file : 3D model, 2D drawings, validation file, supporting analysis documentation
- Leads the drawing design review procedure during detailed design phase and follow up related actions
- Ensuring mechanical interfaces and electro-mechanical assembly integration
- Collaborating with purchasing, quality, and industrialization functions to ensure successful delivery of equipment to customers
- Contributing to the design validation plan (FMEA, risk mitigation plan (mock-up, tests, ))
- Validating the customer drawings file and maintenance book
- Managing design change and waiver requests related to non-compliances
To be successful, you will ensure that you are meeting the project schedule and delivering quality designs on time. In our unique environment, you will have the ability to see your designs manufactured and tested on site.

Required Qualifications :
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical system design, or related work
- Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications :
- Skilled practice of 3D modeling software (Catia V5 preferred) and product lifecycle management tools
- Experience with FEA analysis
- Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage project tasks
- Knowledge and compliance of EHS rules / standards
- Professional Ethics and a sense of responsibility
- Team Player
Education :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience may be considered
