Specifically, this role will tackle injection molding capacity and capability improvements, injection molding cost out initiatives, injection molding related improvements to quality, improvements to injection molding related processes, and injection molding related capital investment projects. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is based out of our production facility located in Kalona, until early 2025 when we will be relocating to a new facility in Coralville. QUALIFICATIONS : Experience with ISO 13485 & 9001, FDA, European, and MHLW requirements, including but not limited to process validation Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years in technical injection molding experience Project management experience (PMP preferred but not required) and / or Lean Six Sigma Certification 145;Hands on’ track record applying injection molding fundamentals such as : plastic material processing guidelines, mold design and fabrication, mold processing and optimization, plastic part design best practices, tooling routine and preventative maintenance, injection molding press operation and optimization Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and time management skills History of success leading, prioritizing, and implementing multiple projects simultaneously Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as packaging, warehouse, machining, and medium to small size product assembly Experience working with remote sites, employees, and customers Experience with low-volume and high-volume injection molding, including working with injection molding machines and / or cobots.
