The Team
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) is our customer’s organizational link between Integrated Supply Chain and the product development functions of Engineering, Program Management, and the Strategic Business Units.
AME participates in the execution of new product development programs to ensure product cost, capability, and producibility targets are achieved.
Specifically, this involves evaluations of the design, the supply base, the product cost, the manufacturing factory, the manufacturing process capability, and the manufacturing yield of an end item product.
Essential Job Functions :
- Interface between Program Management and Customers.
- Interface between program and suppliers.
- Identify roadblocks to supply chain and drive to resolution.
- Program Milestones, maintain required IPDS metrics and provide status presentations.
- Documentation of current routings, detailed operation descriptions, etc.
- Review, create, and update quality improvement plans for related manufacturing processes.
- Assist in quality inspection audits and generate reports detailing any found discrepancies.
- Prepare for and assist in program level audits.
- Update inspection-related instructions to adhere to current processes.
- First Article Inspection (FAI) oversight and documentation of assembly.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, etc) or equivalent experience.
- 0-2 years minimum of relevant experience.
- Previous experience with SAP data management system.
- Manufacturing experience a plus.
- Ability to work in high stress fast-paced environment.
- Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
Additional Qualifications
- Six Sigma certification and / or Lean Expert certification valued.
- Proficient with GD&T concepts.
- Experience with Aerospace products or related products valued.
- Displays strong analytical skills including data query writing and development.
- Demonstrated capacity to meet aggressive deadlines while achieving excellent business results.
- Exhibits successful ability with indirect leadership of diverse teams deploying complex processes.
- Shows very strong written and oral communication skills to all stakeholders.
- Established ability to manage multiple complex projects at once.
- Experience working in multicultural environments and with others of diverse backgrounds preferred.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment :
- Mostly Shop Floor Environments with more than half the day spent standing / walking. Occasional office involvement.
- Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
- Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
- Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
- Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM.
- Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
- Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen.
