Summary
Executes and ensures all aspects of Banquet Functions are delivered to Guests as planned while maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism.
Areas of operation range from personnel management to cook and waiting staff coordination to inventory management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Promote Cache Creek Casino Resort in a positive manner, practice RICH philosophy.
- Hire and train all Banquet service staff. Create staff schedule to ensure appropriate staffing for events.
- Manage Housemen staff, execute all setups.
- Ensure all employees are working within outlined operating standards.
- Coordinate all outsourced support staff to ensure all requirements are met.
- Track stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment, forecast needs, and oversee ordering as necessary.
- Report on financial performance, inventory, and personnel.
- Maintain inventory on all Banquet related equipment. Maintain physical plant room interiors to acceptable standard.
- Take ownership of budgets and cost control methods to minimize expenses.
- Adhere to and enforce employee compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Maintain open communication with all support departments. Coordinate all support departments for execution of Banquets.
- Attend scheduled meetings. Conduct weekly BEO meeting.
- Develop all diagrams with Catering Manager for setup of food product,
- beverage and seating configurations.
- Manage all aspects of Food Service with front and back of the house related to Banquet Functions.
- Manage gratuity payout for service staff.
- Process payroll and maintain all relevant records
- Generate final check and utilize P.O.S. System to input and close-out checks.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises six or more employees in Banquets. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance;
rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications

Experience and / or Education
Two years' experience in banquet management at a hotel, country club or event center.
Age Requirement
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
