Summary :
The Courseware Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of the courseware development team under the Kirtland / Davis-Monthan / Andrews / Moody (KDAM) Aircrew Training and Rehearsal Support (ATARS) contract.
Primary Responsibilities :
The Courseware Manager serves as the Subject Matter expert for managing the development, distribution, publishing, update and maintenance of all courseware baselines, syllabi, and training materials (e.
g. instructor guides, student guides, computer-based / web-based training, handheld media, etc.), for all syllabi identified in the KDAM contract.
- Directs the work of Instructional Designers, Multi Media Specialist, Courseware Programmers and Learning Management System Administrators in meeting student aircrew academic training requirements.
- The Courseware Manager plans and supports quarterly courseware working group meetings, syllabus reviews, course readiness reviews, formal course reviews, configuration control boards, and other review meetings as needed;
- Prepares and presents courseware related briefings, data and results at the aforementioned meetings;
- Conducts special investigations and studies to evaluate efficiency of courseware and related programs;
- Applies knowledge of AFH 36-2235, Volumes 1 through 12, AFMAN 36-2234, Instructional System Development, and AFMAN 36-2236 to coordinate work of the courseware team members engaged in solving problems with courseware currency, content, delivery systems and the overall student training environment.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10 years’ experience in the management of personnel.
- 10 years’ experience with AETC Courseware Development standards and processes.
- 10 years’ experience in AETC SOI Management.
- 10 years’ experience with ATARS training operations.
- 5 years’ experience in Configuration Management Principles.
- 5 years’ experience in developing proposals in response to a government RFP
- Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively solve complex problems
- Creative, responsive and adaptive in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work 40 hours per week; some overtime may be required
- Solid interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to communicate orally, write, read, and comprehend
- Applicant will be subject to a US Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain / maintain a US Secret clearance
- Security Clearance : Secret Clearance Required
