JOB DESCRIPTION Manager, Logistics Job Description : The Manager will lead inbound and outbound transportation initiatives of the Logistics Operations Center team. Responsibilities include managing a team of coordinators and associates, executing all aspects of freight processes and improving tools that support transportation scheduling, tracking line hauls, negotiating spot market freight, and managing exceptions. The Manager will actively communicate cross-functionally to create seamless transportation execution across our network. This team member supports process improvement initiatives, solves problems in real-time, analyzes data and presents key findings, and maintains daily performance metrics. You will be asked to travel up to 20% within the United States. You will Manage the logistics process related to our centralized dispatching platform and TMS software Lead a team of coordinators and associates responsible for executing our inbound & outbound network strategy nationwide Ensure all morning order management tasks are completed accurately and on time Support process improvement initiatives across Logistics Operations network Create inbound & outbound scheduling to optimize dock capacities Provide support and monitor inbound and outbound logistics escalations to reduce potential risk in a proactive manner Collaborate with Procurement and inbound logistics team to drive process efficiencies and ensure product arrives at production facilities in a timely manner Manage and execute on load coverage needs for inbound and outbound supply chains Assist with strategy and cost savings initiatives for the inbound and outbound teams Analyze complicated data sets and present findings on a daily / weekly basis - spreadsheet proficiency is a must Ensure appropriate process controls and documentation align with total transportation excellence expectations Monitor, measure and improve service level metrics, including on-time arrival and on-time departure Capture, manage and maintain the data integrity within TMS platform Implement contingency plans to minimize downstream impacts to our customers across our network including external carriers & 3PLs Partner with DC Shipping teams to establish efficient staffing plans based on shipping load distribution Work directly with our outbound transportation team to lead and reinforce operational process improvement projects Provide the best possible experience for the HelloFresh customer You are Data-driven You can organize, explore, and synthesize unstructured data into actionable insights to better inform operational decision-making.
