Logistics / Inventory Coordinator
Role and Responsibilities
CAE , one of the largest business aviation training facilities, is looking for a Logistics and Inventory Control Specialist at our Dallas East facility.
In this role, you will perform a variety of duties, including, parts ordering, vendor services, researching, receiving, issuing, handling, and accounting for inventory stock.
Interfaces with and support technical personnel with obtaining, tracking, and updating parts necessary for the operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for reviewing all daily inventory transactions.
- Research, and order parts in an effective manner.
- Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
- Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels.
- Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
- Making special shipping arrangements as necessary.
- Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.
- Participate in physical inventories and reconciliation processes.
- Compile and maintain inventory records from material usage.
- Participate in inventory control / management functions, which may include cycle counting, issuing of materials, and inventory adjustments.
- Update the inventory database, and ensure the correct location via conducting audits of cycle count or audits by location.
- Add / delete / change material to inventory locations.
- Maintain existing and future subcontractor payments.
- Perform tasks to support the technical services group as required.

- Ability to maintain professional and high-standard decorum.
- Excellent customer service skills with internal and external customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized and a team player with the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Punctual, professional, diligent.
- Ability to multi-task, self-motivator who can complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Windows Suite.
- Ability to work with current technology such as MS Teams, WebEx, dial-in conference calls, SharePoint, internet, Ariba, etc.
Experience Required :
- 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Associate's degree preferred.
- Experience in aviation is a plus.
Working conditions :
- Ability to react quickly to changes in plans.
- Ability to pick up 50 lbs.
- Walking, stooping, and squatting may be required
- Ability to be on the phone for long periods of time
- Ability to use electronic devices for prolonged periods of time
- This position is in the DFW, Dallas East Training Center.
- This position may have a flex time office and remote work.
