What You'll Do
You’ll be responsible for directing the company’s distribution logistical requirements with a particular focus on our warehouse operations and our shipping / receiving management in multiple locations with temperature controlled inventory.
You will focus on developing more cost effective and innovative solutions with a transformational agenda to bring these operations to the next level in our company’s trajectory.
This role is onsite at our facility in Henderson, Nevada.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute strategic initiatives on time and on cost, with minimum disruptions to the existing business.
- Execute robust governance models, project implementation, risk mitigation, and contingency plans.
- Management and Continuous improvement of our Pick & Pack operations.
- Effectively delegate project tasks to the appropriate owners.
- Collaborate with internal team members to share best practices, methodology, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to communicate progress, risks, and escalations with the project teams as well as upwards in the organization.
- Collaborate with Inventory Control, Manufacturing, and Finance teams to monitor and track to targets and budgets for strategic initiatives.
- Plan, coordinate and direct the work of warehouse personnel and supervisory staff
- Ensure that warehouse personnel are performing their daily task in a safe and responsible manner consistent with Company safety policies
- Monitor the shipment and receipt of material and oversees the movement, accuracy and location of material in the warehouse
- Ability to create, develop and implement best practices to drive efficiency and accuracy
- Review and refine our current Business to Consumer (B2C) operating model
- Provide motivation, training, and develop workforce
- Monitor the completion of daily warehouse activities
- Monitor to ensure proper temperature controlled storage conditions for various temperature sensitive raw materials and finish products
- Evaluate current department procedures and approving all department SOP’s
- Ensure seamless collaboration with other departments to support policies and goals of company
- Plan labor needs, space utilization and facility resources to ensure cost effective operation
- Provide leadership and direction for potential distribution expansion supporting Company growth initiatives
- Perform employee development functions such as performance reviews, disciplinary actions, interviewing, and other personnel issues
- Coordinate supply needs with multiple departments according to defined schedules
- Responsible for quality and continuous improvement within the job scope
- Responsible for all actions / responsibilities as described in company controlled documentation for this position
- Contribute to and support the corporation’s quality initiatives by planning, communicating, and encouraging team and individual contributions toward the corporation’s quality improvement efforts
- Meet with external group(s), as needed
- Negotiate with freight carriers for best in class service at a competitive cost structure
- Attend all meetings where the Warehouse department input is required
- Contributes to a working environment that allows all employees the opportunity for development, growth, and advancement.
- Carry out essential leadership responsibilities in accordance with the department, organization’s policies and applicable laws
- Select staff, coach performance and provide ongoing and timely communication regarding performance, training and development opportunities
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of leadership experience in warehouse and shipping / receiving operations, preferably in a Director role
- 8-10 years in a manufacturing warehouse environment
- Experience operating a distribution center(s) both B2B and B2C, multi-site ideally, optimization of multi footprints
- Have designed / operated small parcel / high flow distribution operation
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required, Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
- Ideally operated an omni channel business including pick / pack
- Can articulate the distribution model through to the customer experience identify the business model in terms of delivery expectations (over-night, two or three day order to cash)
- Experience Implementing WMS, picking strategies, FIFO
- Proficient in Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Computer data-entry experience required
- Proven ability to forecast, analyze and identify improvement opportunities in the warehouse and shipping / receiving processes and operations
- An understanding of the manufacturing process and quality control procedures
- Ten (10) years' experience in strong knowledge of operational processes, data, tools, and improvement initiatives including experience in logistics reengineering in a fast growing business
- Influenced organizational change by driving partnerships and alignment across cross-functional and inter-enterprise stakeholders.
- FTL / LTL experience, can articulate cost reductions, consolidation of freight network, expanding footprint of distribution
- Experience in projects with Lean / Six Sigma or other problem-solving methodology
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across an organization
- Proven track record of high-impact project implementations, including 3+ years' experience in business transformation programs
- Ability to analyze and interpret data sets for decision support
- Able to work with minimal direct guidance or direction

Work Environment
Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free office and manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned desk area
