Logistics Development Specialist
Job Description :
We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Development Specialist to join our Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) Group located in San Diego, CA.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : This position requires an enthusiastic, motivated, self-starter who will be responsible for administering integrated logistics plans and processes.
Responsible for ensuring that customer support requirements and objectives are achieved within budget and schedules. Ensure continuous improvement of standard logistics processes in such areas as supportability analysis, database development, maintenance plans / procedures / task analysis, PSE, PHS&T, tracking material, and spares forecasting, provisioning and replenishment.
Product support, data interchange systems, demand management and related functions are also required. Integrate learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, industry groups and professional training to continuously improve the company's competitive position.

Requirement :
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications : Typically requires a bachelor's degree and three or more years of progressive logistics management experience Equivalent applicable experience may be substituted in lieu of education Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
Incumbent should be able to demonstrate a general understanding and application of logistics management concepts, principles, techniques and theories and proven experience broadly applying those concepts.
Must have good interpersonal skills and an ability to relate with personnel in other departments as well as customers and have the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions related to supply chain activities.
Ability to analyze, generate and submit CDRL documentation for customer review and approval with minimal rework. Must be able to perform inventory management and make recommendations for replenishment spares.
Demonstrate a general understanding and application of logistics management concepts, principles, techniques and theories.
Ability in organizing, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.
Possess the ability to contribute to the development of new processes. Possess the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of problems including supply chain activities and develop solutions related to logistics activities.
Possess good analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings. Ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects.
Excellent computer skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance is required.Desirable Qualifications : Familiarity with Department of Defense (DOD) Acquisition Logistics procedures is a plus.
Experience working with Wind chill, SAP and using SLICwave for logistics management information (LMI) are highly desirable.
Experience with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) analysis, Spares management, a high mechanical aptitude, and an ability to read drawings are beneficial.
