Pay Range : Starts at $15.00 per hour, depending on experience
Position Summary :
Consistent with the Christian mission and vision of the YMCA of Middle TN, and in cooperation with other YMCA staff, under the direction of the Camp Hospitality Director, the Camp Hospitality Staff Member is responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the grounds and facilities.
Essential Functions :
Model the YMCA core values : Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility
Sweep, mop, dust and clean all facilities daily to meet guest / camper needs
Coordinate setting up of rooms for special events daily
Monitor buildings for safety concerns, security and guest concerns
Utilize preventative maintenance and cleaning schedule for purpose of keeping facilities in peak performance
Make minor equipment and facility repairs to ensure no down time
Ensure that Q-check standards are met
Maintain a supply inventory and coordinate purchasing needs for the housekeeping department
Communicate daily with the Hospitality Director to set up a workable and productive schedule
Attend staff meetings and training sessions

Must be highly organized with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Minimum 18 years of age
Experience in cleaning and use of cleaning chemicals, including safety procedures preferred
Certifications Required :
Before start of 1st shift : New Hire Orientation training
Before start of 1st shift : Basic Life Support / First Aid

Event Coordinator

Description
Pay Range : Starts at $15.00 per hour, depending on experience
Position Summary :
Consistent with the Christian mission and vision of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee, and in cooperation with other YMCA staff, under the direction of the Director of Events and Retreats, the Event Coordinator is responsible for implementing and executing all activities and plans for Group Days.
The Event Coordinator will supervise guests throughout the course of their scheduled activities, and will be responsible for providing a camp program that will ensure the participant’s safety and foster their social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth.
Essential Functions :

Model the Joe C. Davis Outdoor Center operating philosophy of Kids and Guests first.
Ensure the safety of all campers & guests at all times while meeting the individual needs of the participants
Ensure activities, venues, room setups, and equipment meet YMCA guidelines during their assigned groups’ experience.
Coach seasonal staff on proper execution of activity leadership to ensure elevated guest experiences.
Be an excellent role model to participants, guests and staff going Above and Beyond to ensure a Guest First philosophy is the minimum standard.
Act as program lead to facilitate meal procedures during assigned meal times
Responsible for light housekeeping, re-stocking food and beverages and reporting any equipment / facility damages
Identify ways to create an exemplary guest experience
Ensure check in and check out procedures are followed including but not limited to : Completion of Checklists, confirming schedule, collecting release forms, passing out wristbands, etc.
Maintain positive relationships with YMCA staff, school staff, and participants
Assume duties as directed by the YMCA administration and Lakeside Events departments

Minimum 18 years of age
HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
At least one year of experience working in the guest service industry preferred
Certifications Required :
Before start of 1st shift : New Hire Orientation training
Within two weeks of hire or before 1st shift with children (whichever comes first) : CPR / First Aid / AED

YPLAY Attendant

YPLAY Attendant
Pay Range : Starting at $12.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Position Summary :
Consistent with the Christian mission and vision of the YMCA of Middle TN, and in cooperation with other YMCA staff, under the direction of the YPLAY Coordinator, the YPLAY Attendant is responsible for ensuring the care, safety, and well being of all children in the group.
The YPLAY Attendant will work with other site staff to foster children’s social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth.
Essential Functions :

Ensure safe and risk free environment at all times while meeting the individual needs of the participants
Care for children ages six weeks through six years old in YPLAY
Implement and coordinate activities as needed (Kids Gym, creative arts, story hour, special events) that daily builds children in Spirit, Mind and Body
Maintain proper hygiene of children relating to diaper changing and toilet training
Build relationships and interact with members
Attend staff meetings and training sessions
