What you ’ll do
Key responsibilities include partnering with leaders to define talent needs, building and maintaining high-caliber pools of candidates, and driving an effective candidate evaluation process.
Specifically, you will :
Manage the end-to-end experienced hire recruitment process for our proprietary research team, Market Intelligence, to meet hiring goals, including developing sourcing strategies, assessing candidates, crafting offers, handling the negotiation, and closing of candidates
Collaborate with HR Business Partners and leaders across the organization, developing a deep understanding of their strategic objectives and hiring needs
Develop effective candidate assessment frameworks, including facilitating interviews and leading calibration and hiring discussions
Leverage recruiting data to prepare ongoing recruiting updates for hiring managers
Conduct in-depth screening for prospective candidates
Collaborate and partner with Compliance and Information Security on applicable data privacy and securities laws
What’s required
Bachelor’s degree
7+ years of technical recruiting experience
Ability to exercise sound, independent, judgement while driving best practices in candidate sourcing
Expertise conducting in-depth initial interviews and accurately assessing candidate quality and potential
Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments while maintaining strong attention to detail
Experience regularly communicating status and outcomes to counterparts and business leaders
Assertive and self-motivated
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $250,000, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package.
Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and / or skill level, among other things.

Cubist’s data services group is looking for a Data Scientist to join our dedicated team. Our group is responsible for the timely delivery of comprehensive and error-free data to some of the most demanding and successful systematic Portfolio Managers in the world.
This exceptional individual will be a member of a small team of Data Scientists who play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day implementation of a large research infrastructure, and the live production trading of billions of dollars of capital across global capital markets, including equities, futures, options and other financial instruments.
Job Responsibilities
Identification of new data sets
Engaging with vendors to understand characteristics of datasets
Building processes and technology tools to ingest, tag and clean datasets
Analysis of datasets to generate descriptive statistics and propose potential applications of data
Research of potential alpha signals for presentation to Portfolio Managers
Monitoring and enhancing the automated data collection and cleansing infrastructure
Research on new technologies for improved data management and efficient retrieval
Desirable Candidates
Ph.D. in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics or another disciplines involving rigorous quantitative analysis techniques
At least 1 year of experience as a Data Scientist, quantitative researcher or in a similar role
Experience working with large data sets, including classification, regression, distribution analysis, and predictive modeling
Experience applying statistical tests to large data sets
Programming skills in SQL, TSQL, SQL Server or PL-SQL
Programming skills in Python and at least one of C#, C++, or Java
Financial industry experience preferred but not required
Experience dealing with intraday, tick and order book data a plus
Strong problem solving skills
Intellectual curiosity and a love of learning
Attention to detail and a love of process
Strong oral and written communication skills
The annual base salary range is $125,000-$250,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and / or skill level, among other things.
