Provides laundry services as needed and / or directed. Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures. Observes problems, concerns, and issues observed with Resident units, the community, and the grounds and communicates them appropriately. Observes changes in Resident status, needs, or preferences and communicates them appropriately. Observes other problems and communicates them appropriately. Observes all work, safety, and administrative rules. Adheres to all established policies and procedures. Records Resident information as required. Avoids loss, breakage, and waste of supplies and equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, work, safety, and other emergencies. HOUSEKEEPER The HOUSEKEEPER is responsible cleaning and maintaining the appearance of all public areas of the work site, cleaning and sanitizing patient / client rooms, changing bed / bath linens, deep cleaning of assigned areas, sweeping / mopping floors, removing trash and meeting / event set-up. In addition, the HOUSEKEEPER is responsible for restocking Housekeeping supplies. The successful candidate will possess the following : One year housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospital or similar environment Laundry experience required preferred Knowledge of housekeeping supplies including cleaning chemicals Knowledge of deep cleaning / maintaining multiple areas of a hospital including patient rooms (occupied and un-occupied), nursing stations, lounges, cafeteria / kitchen, waiting areas and offices Experience with floor maintenance Must be able to communicate (speak and understand) English PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS Dusts furniture, woodwork, equipment. Mops floors. Polishes and cleans fixtures in all areas as needed. Wet mops rooms, halls, stairways, and public areas. The Housekeeper is responsible for always keeping our facility clean and sanitary for the health and safety of clients and our employees.
