Financial Analyst - Client & Matter Management
Job Description
A global law firm consistently ranked among the top firms in the world, is seeking a Financial Analyst - Client & Matter Management to join our dynamic team in Global Services Office in downtown Los Angeles.
Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
About the role
As a Financial Analyst - Client & Matter Management, you will be responsible for facilitating financial and analytically driven project & matter management support for the firm and its attorneys.
Other key responsibilities include :
- Working in a team environment to complete ad-hoc financial analysis, reports, and special projects related to project & matter management
- Utilizing analytical skills and expert knowledge of business, economics, finance, and accounting to complete complex and routine requests including client, budget, and overall financial performance
- Utilizing Elite financial system and Business Objects to obtain data, organize the information, build reports pertaining to client project performance, creating reports for management, and attorneys to review
- Developing recurring reports related to client statistics and firm financial metrics
- Coordinating ad-hoc financial analytics related to client statistics and firm financial metrics
About you
We’d love to hear from you if you :
- Apply strong organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude
- Possess the ability to maintain flexibility with respect to assigned tasks due to changing deadlines, changing deliverables and changing task priorities
- Display general knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles and terminology, general knowledge of professional services business, as well as general knowledge of project management principles and terminology, including scope definition, risk & opportunity tracking, phase and milestone planning, and fee arrangements.
And have :
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience responding to ad-hoc requests, developing analysis, and producing reports; related analytical experience in finance, accounting, or project management is desired
- A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in managing costs, fees, and budgets, along with previous experience in a customer-focused position
