Oak Crest is looking to fill an Assistant Finance Director position. As an Assistant Finance Director you will have an opportunity to learn the operations of an Erickson Senior Living community located Parkville, Maryland and have the opportunity to be a future Finance Director in one of the existing or newly opened communities.
This position is a key business partner to the Director of Finance and the Community Leadership Team. Oak Crest is a beautiful private, 87-acre campus 1,491 independent living apartment 1,800+ residents 950+ employees.
Pool & fitness centers, multiple dining venues, doctors on site, banks, etc..

How you will make an impact :
- Provide financial and business support to the Executive Director / Director of Operations and the Community Management Team.
- Review monthly financial performance to understand and mitigate operating variances
- Complete monthly internal financial statements and reports for management
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in cooperation with department managers
- Serve as the key point of contact for the resident billing processes including problem resolution.
- Perform special financial analysis to highlight business opportunities / issues and recommend solutions to enhance Community performance.
- Liaison between community and corporate departments, residents, and / or residents’ families
- Assist in the establishment of policies and procedures that ensure adequacy of internal controls.
- Educate new employees to utilize our financial systems and procedures

Compensation :
Commensurate with experience starting at $100000.00 / year
What you will need :
- 4-year college degree. BS / BA in Accounting / Finance required.
- CPA / MBA a plus.
- Strong financial and customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex information
- Strong computer and excel knowledge
- Minimum of 7 years in related / similar industry with at least the last 5+ years in a management / supervisory role.
- Flexibility to relocate at some point in your career.
