The Finance Manager will drive a data and forecast process enhancement roadmap to optimize all aspects of Financial and underlying data related to T-Mobile’s Wholesale Line of Business, which consists of Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO), Internet of Things (IoT), and Machine to Machine (M2M) segments.
Requires strong competency working with large data sets in Excel leveraging Microsoft SQL, Teradata, IBM Cognos TM1, and SAP.
Curiosity for the business and the data is a must and ability to influence change is key to success.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve complex SQL queries to organize Wholesale subscriber data into concrete data sets, working with cross-functional partners for validation and accounting compliance.
- Improve forecast processes by automating data, uncovering business insights, and identifying / validating forecast drivers.
- Identify, develop, and deliver on project / enhancement roadmap to drive efficiencies in forecasting processes and results by collaborating with forecasters and business partners.
- Strive for continuous improvements and automation of processes and reporting through various ETL procedures across multiple data sources.
- Support daily reporting for T-Mobile Wholesale Line of Business segmented activity.
- Use statistical and financial modeling techniques to analyze results and identify variances and underlying causes, opportunities, and risks.
Present findings to Senior Management, including suggestions for course correction.
- Measure key performance indicators and benchmarking results across accounts, markets, business units, and channels and communicate results to leadership via dashboards and reports.
- Also responsible for other Duties / Projects as assigned by business management as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- 5 7 years’ experience mining data and developing reports using a variety of reporting / analytics software packages with an aptitude for learning new reporting software packages.
- High confidence with extract, transform, and load processes in SQL.
- Strong organization skills with ability to identify, develop, and deliver on project roadmap specific to data and forecasting requirements.
- Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint. Advanced MS Excel modeling skills and applied business statistics.
- Ability to work independently and with limited supervision, manage multiple priorities.
- Superior communication, presentation, and organization skills; ability to communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Management, or Engineering required.
- MBA or Master’s Degree in quantitative field preferred
- At least 18 years of age
