Purpose :
Worley is currently looking for a Portfolio Finance Director who will ensure the delivery of world class business performance management, budgeting and reporting for the corporate Energy& Chemicals Operation.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Finance and will actively demonstrate Worley’s values and behaviors.
Responsibilities :
- Day to day finance partner to the Portfolio Leadership Team and representative of the Finance function to the Operations;
- Open and clear dialogue regarding Portfolio results with the Portfolio Vice President, Finance Director and USGC President
- Works closely with related parties to understand their financial results and forecasts and ensures compliance with agreements;
- Position and steward the implementation of Finance approved strategies, policies and processes in Portfolio to ensure consistent Group-wide best practice is delivered;
- Leads benchmarking to identify continuous improvement opportunities to systems, processes, cost reduction and general challenge to the status quo; and
- Oversight of the planning, directing and coordinating of the Portfolio accounting and administration functions.
- Provides strategic financial leadership, advise and commercial support to Portfolios, and Joint Ventures;
- Commercial input into bids, projects and commercial terms and conditions;
- Undertakes ad hoc analysis and participates in special projects. Designs financial models, scenarios and sensitivities for projects.
- Advises on the design and application of models;
- Engaged in special projects such as the preparation of financial aspects of new business opportunities or providing oversight for the development of rates for major proposals; and
- Overall project accounting responsibility for all projects and joint ventures; including compliance to legislation and policies, invoicing and billing, cost management and management of financial and treasury risks.
- Responsible for delivering consistent, accurate and timely management information (financial and statistical) to all key stakeholders for decision making purposes;
- Ensures accuracy and consistency in application of Accounting Policy and Standards and appropriate internal controls;
- Leads budget and forecast preparation for the Portfolio and provides information supporting long range planning activities;
- Works with Global finance groups on monthly reporting, functional reporting, tax, treasury, Portfolio initiatives and ad hoc projects;
- Works closely with the regional Tax Manager to ensure full compliance with all relevant tax laws;
- Ensure auditable compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements and achievement of sound corporate governance and compliance with The Way, WorleyParsons policies and IFRS.
- Drives best in class cash management around DSO and WIP (collections efficiency and invoicing efficiency)
- Stewards ongoing cash forecasting; upholds strong, visible credit risk management in the Portfolio
- Overall responsibility for liquidity management of the Portfolio
What you will bring
Required Technical and Industry Experience :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
- Minimum of 10 plus years’ of experience in a Financial Leadership role
- Expert technical and analytical accounting skills, specifically in the areas of financial modelling and reporting.
- Must have either public practice or publicly traded company experience both would be preferable.
- Work experience with ERP & BI environments such as Oracle & Hyperion Financial Management systems
- Hyperion Super user is a must; ability to create business logic / rules.
- Expert technical understanding of GAAP and IFRS; maintains the highest professional ethics and standards;
- Demonstrated leadership within a Finance function providing finance and commercial input into the operational management of a Portfolio;
- Strong understanding of the complexity associated with this industry; specifically, in relation to legislative and tax compliance, commercial arrangements, Joint Venture reporting and cash management;
- Ability to drive continuous improvement in processes and systems to achieve organizational objectives in cost reduction, higher profitability and increased shareholder returns;
- Ability to coach and develop the broader team in both technical and behavioral areas in line with Worley’s values
- Strong partnering skills across local and global leadership and stakeholders.
Education Qualifications, Accreditation, Training :
Required :
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
Preferred :
CPA or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
