Finance Compliance Manager

This position will be responsible for developing and overseeing control systems to prevent violations of legal, compliance, and FAR / DFAR requirements.
This position will also be the lead in working with outside auditors specifically DCMA and DCAA for yearly and monthly submissions as well as the Government bid compliance.
Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility
- Subject matter expert on FAR / CAS compliance for company
- Calculates forward bid rates (direct and indirect) used in proposals; revises as required by changes in the business; supports the rates in pre-award and post award audits
- Advisor on bids / proposals and complex finance decisions
- Manages internal controls, policies and procedures; responds to corporate parent inquiries as needed
- Leads or supports all DCMA / DCAA audit activity alongside Finance team
- Performs in-depth analysis as required
- Reports directly to CFO and works with other members of the Finance / Accounting team.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance
- 8+ years related experience; ideally with a mix of government contracting, public accounting and industry (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
- Above average written and verbal communication skills required
- The ideal candidate will be highly experienced with government audit (DCAA / DCMA) and FAR / CAS
- Self-starter, able to work independently or as part of a team; good presentation skills
- Comfortable with MS Office and various ERP systems
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA a plus
- Auditing experience in a government contract environment is highly desired
- Master’s degree
