Facilities Management AVC-Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh-(Manages financial operations and oversees the preparation of financial statements.
Serves as a primary contact for all financial matters and resolves complex issues. Performs budgetary and audit functions.
Prepares and analyzes complex financial documentation and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
This position is responsible for managing and monitoring various finance and administrative functions for the Department of Facilities Management.
This includes preparing and monitoring budgets, use of QuickBooks, financial reconciliations, payroll accounting, financial reporting, processing invoices for payment, audit preparation, scope and oversight developing recommendations to management for any deficiencies, journal entry preparation, tax reporting, administration functions to support the Director of Financial Services with reporting to management.
This position directs, supervises and oversees the management of the Accounts Payable (AP) staff. This includes managing the AP process and all AP clerks, reviewing their work assignments, complete annual performance appraisals and provide recommendations for various personnel actions.
The position will be expected to establish and implement AP workflow policies and procedures. This position assists with monitoring and managing our monthly Utility payments with respect to electricity, water / sewage, and gas.
Also, will provide assistant to the department’s utility analysts, payment processing and the utility vendors, when dealing with difficult customer inquiries and when problems arise (i.
e., payments not received, shut off notices issued, etc.) In addition, will assist the Director of Financial Services with specific professional fee invoicing.
This individual will interact with various levels within the University and outside the University. This interaction includes resolving problems by analyzing and interpreting data, in addition to coordinating projects.
The position reports directly to the Director of Financial Services and works in a highly independent manner. Bachelor’s degree and minimum of five years of experience in the accounting / finance field.
