What We Need :
iHeartMedia has an opening for an experienced Media Planner / Strategist (on the Unified Partnerships Team / Government Initiatives Team).
This position will be responsible for the entire broadcast strategic media plan for all campaigns, including negotiating third-party media.
Negotiates to obtain the best rates and most appropriate broadcast media.
What You'll Do :
- Builds effective broadcast media campaign plans using detailed media flowcharts.
- Secures and negotiates the best rates and terms for all types of media to support the overall media plan.
- Keeps up to date with industry research figures, including audience delivery numbers.
- Monitors buying strategies; liaising and building relationships with clients and media sales companies.
- Identifies the target audience for a particular campaign and decides how best to communicate to that audience.
- Undertakes research using a wide range of specialist media resources.
- Works on a wide range of client accounts at the same time, often juggling various projects and deadlines.
What You'll Need :
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite and standard computer proficiency
- Proficient and familiar with multiple sales and media scheduling platforms, including but not limited to Nielsen, Strata, SQAD.
- Understanding of media assets, terminology, and delivery reports
- Ability to plan and organize, set priorities, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Persuasive communication skills : verbal, written and presentation.
- Independent; self-motivated; competitive; assertive
- Resourcefulness in accomplishing tasks
- Demonstrated success in broadcast media.
- Strong excel skill preferred.
- Motivate team and encourage innovation and creativity throughout all projects by serving as a role model within the Success Team
- Works with clients directly.
- Works on special projects as assigned.

- 3-5+ years of media planning at major advertising agency and / or client side
Education :
College degree preferred.

Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.
