Part-Time Corporate Internship Transportation Specialist San Juan Diego Catholic High School, just south of downtown Austin, is looking for a part-time transportation specialist to transport students to-and-from their Corporate Internship (work-study) sites. Routes are approximately 7 : 45 to 9 : 30 am and 3 : 15 to 5 : 15 pm. Extra driving assignments available, including field trips and athletics. Duties : Operates school vehicle in a safe and efficient manner being attentive to traffic and weather conditions while staying on schedule and ensuring the safety of passengers. Ensures that their vehicle is operating properly each day by inspecting the brakes, tires and other mechanical components. Follows all traffic laws and is in compliance with Federal and Texas motor vehicle regulations. Drives all routes exactly as designated in writing. Responsible for maintaining a safe environment within the bus by enforcing rules of conduct and responding to emergencies. Maintains daily travel logs including the amount of fuel used and miles driven, which is turned in weekly to the Transportation Coordinator. Reports all accidents, vehicle damage, and student injuries to the Director of Transportation. May include light lifting under 40 lbs.
