We are looking for a qualified driver to transport our clients and make sure they arrive at their desired destinations in a safe and timely manner.
A good job candidate must be an experienced driver with a valid driver's license and a completely clean driving record. We need our driver to have no previous traffic violations, as our clients depend on us to keep them safe on the road at all times.
It is also the driver's responsibility to make sure all their passengers are wearing seatbelts.
A qualified job candidate must observe all traffic regulations, and be able to plan the best routes based on road and traffic conditions.
They also must properly maintain the vehicle on a daily basis to keep it clean, comfortable, and safe.
Responsibilities of a Driver :
Picking up clients at the requested place and time
Using a navigation app to plan the best routes
Staying up-to-date with weather and road conditions
Adjusting routes based on road, traffic, and weather conditions
Conducting daily vehicle maintenance checks
Immediately reporting any potential vehicle issues
Keeping clients comfortable and safe
Interacting with clients in a professional and friendly manner
Assisting clients with luggage
Providing excellent driving experience
Collecting payments and providing receipts

Your role
We are currently recruiting for a Lorry Driver to join our team based at Raceview Hatchery, Ballymena.
The hours of work are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 7am- 3.30pm and Wednesday from 7am- 2.30pm
The rate of pay is £12.92 per hour.
What you’ll need
Must be able to read, write, speak and listen in English
Must be able to work as a team member
Must be numerate
Must be able to think clearly e.g. good reasoning ability
Must have good communication skills
Good manual dexterity is essential
Must be able to operate a Tachograph
Must have an awareness of hygiene and cleanliness of vehicle is desirable along with a knowledge of general maintenance to upkeep of vehicle
Must have a positive attitude to work and others
Must have a clean HGV class C licence
Lorry driving experience is desirable
Electric Pallet Truck / Forklift / Reach Truck licence is desirable
Experience transporting food / food products / livestock / poultry / eggs is desirable
Evidence of ability to complete and understand paperwork is desirable
Knowledge of the importance of temperature control desirable
Digital Tachograph experience desirable
The ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines.
Good interpersonal skills are desirable
