WHAT IS A MARKETING MANAGER?
The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing PATH’s online presence, brand awareness, and internal and external communication initiatives.
Working closely with the Chief External Affairs Officer, Director of Marketing, and Director of Media, this position plays a critical role in driving media and marketing strategies to support the Philanthropy, Community Affairs, Strategic Partnerships, and Public Policy teams, and is tasked with achieving specific fundraising goals and creating strategies to support program teams.

Additionally, they should be able to work well with a wide population of people ranging from clients, partner agencies, vendors and consultants, donors, and senior staff.

Brand Awareness : Manage and implement strategies that increase PATH’s brand and presence in the community through advertising, social media, email newsletters, and PATH's blog.
Update internal and external print and digital collateral. Compile client success stories to use in communications materials.
Capture photos and video content of PATH events and activities.
- Program Support : Support program teams by creating and updating fact sheets and flyers. Support the production of marketing collateral for program events and presentations.
- Online Presence : Manage and support the creation of PATH’s online presence including the organization’s website, blog, social media accounts, email newsletters and other online platforms.
Curate content calendar for online presence and establish strategy to keep content on accounts up to date. Proactively respond to social media direct messages, mentions, and tags.
Work with web developers and digital agencies to manage PATH’s website, Google AdWords, and other online advertising campaigns.
Analyze and report on digital campaigns and events and recommend ways to improve. Import and clean up contacts on Constant Contact.
Fundraising : Create and support digital strategies and giving opportunities to increase private and corporate fundraising while building individual donor database.
Focus on special events, direct mail, social media fundraising. Work with and manage print vendors and graphic designers.
Staff Support and Development : Provide direct supervision to administrative staff in the marketing team. Plan and schedule on-going workload assignments set and adjust work to be accomplished by staff;
and prepare schedules for work completion. Conduct weekly supervision meetings with staff; provide regular and appropriate feedback including training, opportunities for professional growth, verbal and written improvement plans when needed, and regular evaluations.

WHAT YOU BRING
- Mastery of Microsoft Suite and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
- Mastery of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Basic photography / photo editing skills
- Basic video skills
- Keen design eye
- Professional experience managing branded social media channels preferred
- Experience with email marketing platform like Constant Contact, Emma, or Mail Chimp preferred
- Experience with WordPress preferred
- Experience with Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics and / or other analytical platforms preferred
- Professionalism and mature judgement.
- Ability to work effectively with people of diverse races, ethnicities, nationalities, sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expression, socio-economic backgrounds, religions, ages, English-speaking abilities, immigration status, and physical abilities in a multicultural environment
- Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in related field (for example, marketing, journalism, communications).
- Experience working for non-profits
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s in related field (for example, marketing, journalism, communications) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) years’ experience in marketing and communications

- Ability to travel throughout the state of California up to % of the time to perform work duties.
- Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings or weekends.
