By improving cloud solutions and digitizing buying processes, our client stays ahead of the competition. Within the ITAM team, we rely on a range of SAM (software asset management) and HAM (hardware asset management) tools.
These tools Client out the landscape of solutions used within the company; the data is critical to executing key accountabilities of the ITAM team.
The goal is to ensure effective data & tools management, at the enterprise level. Support is needed in handling the ITAM data lake and foundational tools.
We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter-type Software Asset Analyst who approaches problems with an engineering mentality, is experienced with technology and big data, and is comfortable with learning new tools and techniques.
Experience with sophisticated data analysis and previous exposure to asset management is desired. You should feel comfortable working in a large organization working across different teams.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
- Managing the ITAM data lake and supporting infrastructure (think for example Microsoft servers & Microsoft SQL servers, Snowflake, SSIS / SSRS, Python, PowerShell)
- Integrating ITAM foundational tools (Flexera, ServiceNow, discovery / inventory & endpoint security tools) to track and efficiently manage our client's rapidly evolving IT environment.
- Crafting and automating reports which advise leadership s decisions on technology spend, risk mitigation, and endpoint security.
- Partnering with platform engineering teams to seamlessly deliver technology to end users.
- Partnering with multi-functional teams to remove inefficiencies and drive solutions.
- Building resilient data pipelines.
WHOM WILL YOU WORK WITH?
This role has a specific focus on multi-functional partnerships with Global Risk Management, Corporate Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, Compliance Partners, and numerous external vendors.
This position will report directly to the Director of SAM, Data & Tools, and ITAM Governance.
WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR CLIENT :
Computer science degree and / or bachelor s degree (preferred educational subject area within Technology, Business, Finance or Procurement);
or equivalent combination of education and experience and training
- 5+ years of experience that demonstrates strong domain expertise in Asset Management and / or Procurement and / or Sourcing and / or Vendor Management and / or IT Risk Management.
- Solid grasp of SQL and database administration.
- Data engineering experience including working with APIs to query and load data.
- Familiarity with at least one scripting language (python preferred, PowerShell would also be helpful)
- Public cloud (AWS / Azure) and Linux administration experience.
- Data visualization skills, transforming data into practical insights.
- Familiarity with asset management tools like ServiceNow, Flexera, CMDB technologies, and discovery tools like Tanium, Crowdstrike, Rapid7, Jamf, SCCM, Active Directory, SolarWinds
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Perseverance : demonstrated track record of delivering business results.
- Highly accountable self-starter who thrives in a matrix environment.
