JOB DUTIES Description The Ophoff Lab is looking for a data analyst with computer and programming skills to help with biological data examination for the study of mental illness that takes place under the direction and supervision of the PI. You will assist postdoctoral and predoctoral researchers in the group with their data management and analyses. You should be familiar with data programming, transporting data files, managing data in shared systems, and have a knowledge of common data analysis programs (e. g., programming in R), as well as have knowledge of how to manage, clean, and monitor data. Basic knowledge of language relevant to IT is preferred. If technical issues are encountered, troubleshooting with the study team and participant to implement solution or document new issues. Responsibilities include testing new workflows, cloud computing and supporting the research team in the ongoing computational projects and analyses. You will participate in data management and QC, and work without detailed technical supervision. Overview Position Summary : This position uses data collection, data query tools and data analytic tools to provide clinical data support for the Department of Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine and the Virtual PICU for clinical research, clinical operations, and quality improvement initiatives. The data analyst role will be focused on assisting in data query and acquisition, data management, analysis, and interpretation to provide data-driven insights to physicians, clinical researchers, and data scientists in the Virtual PICU. The analyst will also work collaboratively with data scientists and statisticians.
