PositionSummary :
Reports to theOA Manager. Responsible for direct screening andrecruitment of potential students for enrollment in Job Corps, incompliance with government and managementdirectives.
EssentialFunctions :
2. Interview interested candidates and obtain pertinentinformation on each one.
3. Prepare documentation onpotential students and review with the center as applicable ornecessary.
4. Maintain monthly goals established by thePRH and management.
5. Review and audit all assignedareas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness ofdelivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.
6. Arrange for and assist in providing pre enrollmentorientation; schedule tours of the center.
7. Preparenecessary and required reports related to the outreach.
8. Assist in the development of new and revised policies andprocedures affecting student recruitment.
9. Createnetwork with youth development agencies, one-stop agencies,churches and community organizations to provide a wide-base forrecruiting of potential students.
10. Introduce labormarket information to help with the career transition periodprocess and analyze career paths in local labor market.
11. Participate in student employability programs andactivities.
12. Support, promote, and enforce the JobCorps’ Zero Tolerance Policy.
13. Promote thedevelopment of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriatebehaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring bothpositive and negative behaviors through interventions.
14. Maintain accountability of students and property; adhereto safety practices.
It is expected that the incumbentshall perform other duties as assigned within his / her capabilitiesas determined by management.
Education and ExperienceRequirements :
Bachelor'sdegree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, socialscience, business, communications, or closely related field;
orAssociate’s degree and two years related experiencerequired. Excellent written and verbal communication skills andcomputer proficiency also required.
Valid driver’slicense with an acceptable driving recordrequired.
