This Opportunity WSP is currently seeking a Sr. Consultant, Aviation Project Engineer for our St. Louis, New York, Dallas or any of our WSP offices. This position will be a part of various projects in in St. Louis, New York, and Dallas area airports. Our Aviation Team provides design, engineering and planning services for airports infrastructure including runways, taxiways, terminals and supports WSP's projects around the world. The Aviation Team works on multiple projects simultaneously, in close coordination with other technical departments. Your Impact Responsibilities include participating in multi-disciplinary teams on aviation designs, plan production, and assisting project managers with managing project tasks, and budgets, and other duties as required. Determine well-defined methods for collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, subsurface utility information, maps, geotechnical data, and other matrices for project development, design, and construction. Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or closely related discipline. 5+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering and prior aviation design experience. Engineer in Training Certification. Proficient knowledge of aviation engineering principles, practices, process, design / build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues. Experience with airport planning, design, and construction management; including project involvement in a variety of landside and airside projects, rehabilitation and construction of airfield pavements, navigational aids, grading and drainage design, and storm-water management. Working knowledge with process and concepts for reducing and eliminating the use or generation of hazardous substances / greenhouse gas. Working knowledge of relevant aviation construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
