Role Summary : Verano is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEO Manager to join our marketing team and support our national brands as well as optimize our local retail markets for maximum online visibility and customer engagement. As the SEO Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving organic traffic, improving search engine rankings, and enhancing online visibility for both our national brand and local retail locations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, web development, content, and analytics, to develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies. By utilizing your expertise in search engine optimization techniques and keeping up with the latest industry trends, you will help us reach our target audience effectively and deliver outstanding online experiences. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Develop and execute successful SEO strategies Manage SEO vendors and partners Conduct market and keyword research to develop content plans Set, measure, and report SEO KPIs, highlighting key metrics, trends, and recommendations Devise Search Engine Marketing strategies and ensure they are executed within deadlines and budget Optimize new and existing web content, paid search ads, and landing pages using data collected from SEO analysis and research Monitor and analyze ongoing SEO campaigns in constant pursuit of ways to refine strategy and identify areas of opportunity Create quality backlinks to enhance organic search performance, alongside analyzing key metrics, trends, and recommendations for effective backlink acquisition strategies. Build and manage citations, including Google Business Pages, Yelp and other platforms, to optimize local search visibility. Collaborate with content creators, web developers, and designers to ensure SEO best practices are incorporated into website development and content creation processes Keep abreast of SEO best practices, algorithm updates, and integrated marketing trends Stay up to date with the latest AI advancements and SEO techniques to continuously enhance the effectiveness of SEO strategies Navigate technical obstacles and remove roadblocks to ensure project success Be committed to successfully achieving milestones and critical due dates Perform other duties as assigned by management Minimum Qualifications : 4+ years of experience working as an SEO manager and SME Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent professional experience Knowledge of the best on-site and off-site SEO practices Experience using the most popular website crawlers, SEO analysis tools, and web analytics software A thorough understanding of WordPress and page markup opportunities Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends and driving continuous improvement Demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of work, maintaining a high level of integrity, ethics, and respect for colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
