Fast-paced Medical Office seeking a full time Medical Assistant for immediate hire. We are seeking an individual who takes initiative, is a quick learner, reliable, motivated and a team player. This position will be a floating position multiple days a week for certain half day clinics. Reliable transportation is required. Location : Houston, TX 77070 Cypress, TX 77429 Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 30am - 4 : 30pm No required weekends No required overtime Duties include but not limited to : Triaging patients, taking vital signs and documentation in EMR system including reconciling medications Administering injections and performing spirometry / pulmonary function tests Obtaining medical records as required for patient appointments Other administrative duties include but not limited to : checking in / out appointments, answering phone calls, checking voicemails / encounters, and making appointments as needed Skills / Qualifications : Computer literate with eClinicalworks experience is preferred 1 year of medical assistant experience is required Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and be responsive to all inquiries with a positive attitude Detail-oriented and able to follow oral and written instructions with ease Ability to work effectively and independently with staff, physicians and patients Excellent verbal and written communication skills Bilingual preferred but not required Benefits : Health Insurance Paid Holidays 401k and Profit Sharing Plan Pay commensurate with skills and experience.

Requirements : Billing and coding specialist for large multi-specialty group Minimum 1 year experience required. Medical coding certification preferred. ECW experience preferred. Responsibilities : Code office visits, and any related testings and injections, for pulmonary, sleep, allergy, and gastroenterology. Code for professional services rendered in hospital settings for pulmonary, sleep, allergy, and gastroenterology. Scrub and electronically submit claims to clearinghouse / insurance companies in a timely manner. Audits clinical documentation and coded data to validate documentation supports services rendered for reimbursement and reporting purposes. Follows coding conventions. Serves as coding consultant to care providers. Analyzes coding practices, maximizes collection activities, and ensures compliance with applicable industry rules and regulations. Researches and stays current with health insurance coding requirements. Provides ongoing training to staff as needed. Other duties as assigned.
